| "FOR SALE" ads are free for S.O.C.I. members. One ad in a dues year. Non SOCI members can post a "FOR SALE" ad for an ad insertion fee of $10.00 for up to 6 months. Email the webmaster for information on how. How to become a member: There are good reasons... and benefits for doing so! SOCI's $10 membership fee helps in covering other expenses directly related to services offered to the members and the community at large. Where else can you get 6 months exposure of your ad (with picture) specifically targeted to the market you want to reach? For that price, your local newspaper will run a ad (without picture) for a single weekend. It will be read by a very small public which won't even know what a Shay is. Hemmings, Collector Car Trader Online and Deals On Wheels will ask twice that amount to run it for only a month. SOCI is like PBS. We need every bit of support we can muster. Everything is re-invested in providing lots and lots of free quality information for everyone. And like PBS, when you send us a few dollars, you get a little extra service or gift in return (such as, among other things, posting your «for sale» ad which has the potential of bringing thousands of dollars your way!). If you are a member, please send the text of your ad to our Membership Officer and identify yourself clearly enough so he can determine that you are on his membership list. |

| FOR SALE: In June of 2012, I purchased this 1980 Shay Reproduction of a 1929 Model A Ford Roadster from the original owner. The VIN Number of this car is MOM1EX1910. The Rear End Number is WGF-AN-9H16-3-08-67-S206B. This car is a 6 wheel model with two horns. I believe it is known as a Super Deluxe Roadster. It has a three speed manual transmission. The original title indicates that it was manufactured on 13 August 1980. When we picked the car up this spring, it had 1809 original miles. Today, after four parades, and giving all the neighbors a ride, it has 2100 miles. It is all original, and has side curtains, and a leather trunk, which was un-opened when we bought the car. The car has never spent a night without being under a roof. It is in storage at the present time, and I would consider delivering it in an enclosed trailer, under the right circumstances. | FOR SALE: 1980 Shay Model A Problem free engine and running gear. Yellow body with black fenders, new carpets. The vehicle is in good condition but it has a few faults. Some minor cracks in gel coat, tires have weather cracks; the top has 2 holes in the vinyl. The car has been reliable. Shay Model A ford Roadster. Replica Car built by Shay motors. Yellow body with black fenders, new carpets. Built up on 1980 Pinto Running gear. 2000+- cc motor with automatic transmission. This is a fun car to drive around town. Two adults in the front seat and 2 in the rumble seat. There are no serious problems with the vehicle. Paint is OK, Convertible top has 2 small holes, fiberglass body has minor stress cracks in gel coat. Tires are original and have weather/age cracks in side walls. This shay is priced to sell.
